😇: Daniel 1:20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king required of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.
📚: Daniel, Shadrach, Meshack, and Abendgo faced a test that was passed with unflinching faithfulness. They were ten times wiser than the Babylonian magicians and astrologers because their wisdom came from God. Refusing to deny God as their source of strength, they stayed unfazed when facing the great, dazzling image the king had set up. They could remain standing when others fell.
🦋: I can rest knowing that God will give me strength and wisdom.
🎬: I must fix my heart on God, that I will not be moved.

Golden Scars (Amy Peterson) 😇: 2 Corinthians 11:30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness.
📚: In the Netherlands a group of fashion designers offer a “golden joinery” workshop. Inspired by the Japanese technique Kintsugi, where broken porcelain is visibly repaired with gold, participants collaborate in mending clothes in ways that highlight the mending work rather than trying to mask it. Those who are invited bring a dear but broken garment and mend it with gold. As they remake their clothes, the repair becomes ornamental a “golden scar”.
📚: Paul doesn’t brag about the “surpassingly great revelations” he’s experienced. He is kept from getting proud and overconfident by a “thorn” in his flesh (could’ve been emotional health, physical health, or anything, really…🤷🏽♀️). God replied, to Paul’s bedecian pleas of thorn removal, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. (V.9)
🦋: Broken and weak places in my life can become places where God’s power and glory may shine.
🎬: I must allow God to hold me together, transform me, and make my weakness beautiful.

Free To Live 😇: Galatians 5:1 For freedom- Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
🦄: Despite being handed freedom, I sometimes slide back into the habit of living as if I am a prisoner. I allow what used to enslave my heart to continue to lead me to dangerous paths. I forget that I have complete freedom from old thought patterns and sin cycles… then I beat myself up in frustration wondering why I just can’t seem to get it right. I desire to live a life of freedom, yet struggle to fully grasp the gift of grace and forgiveness.
🦋: I have the power to shake off the condemnation and shame that haunt me by standing strong in the knowledge that sin doesn’t own me because I belong to Jesus.
🎬: I must confidently accept the love and grace God gives me today.
