Morning Meeting with #theBossofMe 10.29.2020

😇: Numbers 6:26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
📚: God worked through Elijah to showcase His power to others. Elijah prayed for rain after a three-year drought, and God sent rain. Elijah prayed for fire to destroy his alter, and the alter was destroyed by fire. So why then, when Jezebel issued treats to Elijah’s person, did the poor soul flee to the wilderness, sans servant, to wish for death? How did the picture change so dramatically from victory to defeat? From courage to depression? From companionship to loneliness? In the wild, God reminds Elijah that his situation isn’t as bad as imagined.
🦋: When God’s peace fills my life, I can face any stress that comes.
🎬: I must be still and listen until I hear God’s direction— instead of needlessly burning energy and effort to run away from difficulty.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Inspired By: Our Daily Bread/A Truck Driver’s Hands (Sheridan Voygey) 😇: Romans 12:6,8 We have different gifts… if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
📚: Sucours (c.1200) from Old French meaning “help, aid, assistance; from past participle of Latin succurrere meaning “run to help, hasten to the aid of” (Etymonline Dictionary)
🦄: Imagine my shock and awe when God revealed this as my special gift. I was not surprised because all my life I have been offering to help others by volunteering in many different capacities, involving many different of life’s extra-curriculars. At the time that I became aware of this purpose, I had (🙄literally), just decided to stop helping folks. My efforts always began as rewarding exercises, but at some point the countenance (Look at me using a new word in a sentence! 🥳) of humans turned those same experiences sour.
📚: Scripture gives us many lessons on spiritual gifts and the proper uses of those gifts. “We have different gifts according to the grace given us”. Listed here are gifts of prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, contributing, leadership, and showing mercy. (Romans 12:3-8) And there’re more gifts to be had: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miraculous powers (please Father, I’d like this one…🤞🏽), discernment, speaking languages, and interpretation of languages. Each of these different gifts are received from the same Spirit, and God works all of them in all mankind (1 Corinthians 12). “When He ascended on high, he led captives in his train and gave gifts to men” (Ephesians 4:7-13)
🦋: To each of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. (Ephesians 4:7)
🎬: I must help prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. (Ephesians 4:12)
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ Inspired By: It’s a Good Morning Just Because You LoveMe. (Diane Dahlen, Cari Dugan, Laura Krause, Shannon Lindsay, Cate Mezyk, Stephanie Sample)/ Just Say No
😇: James 4:7 Submit yourselves then to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
🦄: The command to submit to God and resist the devil should be the easiest to follow. But for me instead of easier, it gets increasingly difficult as life progresses. Evil hides among family and friends just waiting for a moment of weakness to pounce. Evil catches me off guard while my mind is occupied with the magic of God’s love. Evil lurks around as I collect God’s promises. Until I surrender my life to the One who wants only peace and light for me, I am subject to the one who wants to destroy me.

🦋: Evil will flee in fear when I stand with God and say, “NO!”.
🎬: I must surrender my life to God on the daily (…some times every hour on the hour💁🏽♀️).
🎬: Feel free to share notes & references from your 10.29.2020 Prayer/Meditation/Spirituality in the comments below. 💜😇👸🏽🦋🦄
