Time is Relative/Forever is Short!

๐ฆ: During Chapter 43 of my lifeโs story, I experienced homelessness. I was blessed enough not to have to sleep on the street. The one night that I spent in downtown Houston wandering around (thanks Google Maps) and waiting all night for the next bus to arrive to take me to the shelter, was more than enough to force me to seek shelter. Unfortunately that shelter didnโt have any beds available. and thus began my journey through Harris Countyโs โsystemโ.
Going through โthe systemโ for the first time in my life, taught me a lot. Especially about those who proclaim to be in the service of helping other people. These institutions, medical facilities, dual diagnosis rehabilitation sites, and homeless shelters often state that they serve the underserved on behalf of the Lord.
I have seen a lot of good in each place that I temporarily resided. I have also seen a lot of unseemliness going on behind the closed doors. Blatant human rights and HIPPA violations, human trafficking, theft, commandeering of donations, imprisonment, civil rights violations, and a whole mess of lesser crimes committed by the founders, owners, and management associated with HCPC, CRU, HDC, and TPC. I filed reports each time with the proper authorities, but doubt anything has been done to correct these important issues. I will not give up, tho, because each of these โcharitableโ institutions could actually live up to their individual mission and vision statements with very little expense and effort.
I have found that the people in charge of the daily operations, do not want to change for the better. They like things exactly how they are. This is what affords them the expensive houses they get to return to each night in the luxury cars that they drive. I pray for man to understand the meaning of true charity and honest service for the betterment of Godโs kingdoms both here on earth and in Heaven. I pray also for Godโs guidance in progressing on the assignment of being of service to the underserved in Harris, Fort Bend, and Galveston Counties. The mentally ill (including those suffering from addiction), physically ill, elderly, children, and homeless in this country deserve to be served in the spirit of the Lord.
๐ฆ: Fear and shame have no place in my relationship with God. There is nothing I can not share with Him and He with me.
๐ฌ: Extending forgiveness may go against my human nature, but it shows the heart of God and will free my spirit.
